So yeah, I haven't checked dA in about 2 months now. So if you all got a bunch of comments and crap from me, especially Chibi...That's cause I finally caught up with it...for the time being anyway. THANK YOU SPRINGFIELD! GOODNIGHT!

OK, I know all of you are gonna just FLOOD to this because it simply mentions... *whisper* Kingdom Hearts II.

****WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD. READ IF YOU DARE.****

Here's my two-cents on the game...

So far, and what I mean by so far, is I'm at the revisiting part of the game, about 21 hours in, I'm really liking it. Sure there's the button-mashing-repeatitivness, but it's good fun. Especially when it's lonely Sora vs 1000 Heartless.

Other parts I've enjoyed about the game; the new drive system for one. The Valor form has to be my favourite. It's fast, has the ability to carry a second keyblade, and combined with the mentioned button-mashing, is one badass form. Though, while battling the Grim Reaper in Port Royal for the second time, I encountered one of the random forms (there are two). I somehow managed to snag the Shadow form for the duration of a drive. That was kinda cool, really. Sora turns into his shadow-self and bounds around on his two legs and a hand, while carrying the keyblade. Reminds me a bit of Mikoto from Mai-HiME. And with the button-mashing yet again, at the end of a combo, I think it was an air combo, Sora performs a little "vortex" type move, which does a fair amount of damage.

There's also the seriously fucked up story-line. I hate it and love it at the same time. The reason I hate it, is because it's very hard to follow, especially in the beginning when the player has no idea what the hell is going on. I love it because, that's what makes Kingdom Hearts so special, it's story-line. If it wasn't for the characters and story line, it'd just be another dungeon-crawling game on the shelf at your local gaming store.

Speaking of the beginning, that brings me to another part I liked, playing as Roxas. Most people that have reviewed the game, talk about the prologue as if it were a waste of 4 hours. I don't think so. It explains what happened in the Deep Dive video, and also a lot about what happened to Sora after Chain of Memories. Plus there was the small sample of power you can use in the game, during the battle between Roxas and Axel.

And that's really all I can think of right now. So I'll get on to the parts I don't like all that much.

First off, the intro. "Passion" was a great song, until Sqaure-Enix America fucked it over. Of course, they gotta remain faithful to the original Kingdom Hearts, fucking over the intro song. "Hikari" was also great. Then they just had to come out with "Simple and Clean". Seriously guys, there are a lot of people out there who listen to japanese music on a regular basis, and there are others who can stand it for 4 minutes to see a bitchin' intro like Kingdom Hearts II's. Now for a tiny rant; I'm getting sick and tired of companies doing that to games. I mean, games like Disgaea, or the Kingdom Hearts games... hell, I'll even throw anime into this mess. They keep the melody of the songs, but they horribly fuck over the lyrics, either with a bad translation of the vocals, or with completely new ones, creating almost a completely different song. STOP IT ALREADY.

Now for the second part I disliked. Kairi jumping into the portal that Axel creates on Destiny Islands. When I saw this, I litterally yelled out "DUMBASS WOMAN!" I'm sure there's a few of you who'll agree with me on this, that was a stupid-moment for Kairi. She may want to see Sora really badly, but badly enough to throw herself into an unknown portal. And now I'm just talking out of my ass, so I'll sum that up with this; BAD KAIRI! NO BISCUIT!

And...well, that's it. I need to play more of the game, so I can finally understand, or atleast TRY to understand, the story-line thus far. You all enjoy the game now. And if you haven't played the first Kingdom Hearts... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GAMING, GO PLAY IT! No real need to play Chain of Memories, it's pretty basic, and Kingdom Hearts II does sum up what happened during that game to the point where you can continue on and not care about knowing every single little detail. "Details, who needs them?"
